• 0% turnover within the EM group
• Main ED: $260/day $270/night FSEDs $250/day and night
• 10-12 hour shifts available, 120 hours per month but no cap on monthly shifts
• Average pay per year for working 160 hours/month is $360k+ and 160 hours/month is $500k+
• Rotation between main ED and Free Standing EDs
• Main has 5 physicians and 2-4+ APPs, FSEDs are staffed according to volume
• Nursing coverage 1:3 (1:4 max)
• Average radiology reading times of 7 minutes and CT reads of 3.2 minutes
• LWBS under 1%
• No proximity residency requirement
• Main ER: 42 beds, 2 other FSED are 12 and 8 beds
• 50,000 annual ER visits annually with physician seeing 1.5-1.7 PPH
• Very low transfer rate
• No hallway beds ever
• Level III trauma: Chest Pain Center with established STEMI program and 24/7 Interventional Cardiology services. Closed ICU supported by Intensivists with Surgicalists on call to assist ED when needed
