Family Practice/Primary Care Physician Assistant

Summit Health is seeking a licensed Physician Assistant (PA) to work collaboratively with a team of 2 Interventional Radiologists and 1 IR Physician Assistant. Unique opportunity to practice in a well-equipped state of the art freestanding Interventional Radiology facility. Time will be split between the outpatient facility and hospital setting providing care for Summit Health patients.

Interventional Radiology or Surgical experience preferred but training will be provided. Responsibilities include performing minimally invasive procedures, seeing patients in the hospital and clinic setting and participating in department quality improvement activities. No nights or weekend call. Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week, 8am-5pm.

Education, Certification, Computer and Training Requirements:

• Current Physician Assistant degree required.

• 1-year Interventional Radiology experience required; 2-4 years preferred.

• Current Physician Assistant New Jersey License required.

• BLS/ACLS certification required.

• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills required.

• Strong ability to perform diverse work assignments and make decisions with time limitations and with a high degree of accuracy required.

Responsibilities include

• Assist with all interventional radiology procedures as directed by IR.

• Injection, exchange and removal of drainage catheters to include GU and GI drains.

• Imaging guided thoracentesis and paracentesis.

• Perform vascular access placements and removals including PICCs, Ports, tunneled lines.

• Perform arthrocentesis and joint injections under imaging guidance.

• Seeing new consults in clinic and hospital setting. Arrange for follow up as necessary.

Compensation Range: $130,000 - $160,000

The provided compensation range is based on industry standards and salary determinations will be made based on numerous factors including but not limited to years of experience, individual performance, quality measures and location of position.
