Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Practice Setting: Inpatient Hospital Medicine No Procedures Required

Practice Highlights
- Provide comprehensive inpatient care including admissions, daily rounding, and discharges
- Manage a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions
- Deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care
- Order, interpret, and act on laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic studies
- Provide ventilator management
- Respond to codes and rapid response situations
- Coordinate care plans and ensure smooth transitions of care
- Collaborate with:
- Specialists and surgeons
- Primary care providers
- Emergency Medicine physicians
- Nurses and respiratory therapists
- CRNAs
- Ancillary services
- Specialty backup available, including surgeons for central line procedures
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and hospital committees
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment, and follow-up
- Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation

Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Active Vermont medical license
- DEA required prior to start
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Demonstrated ventilator management experience
- Experience running codes
- 2 3 years of Hospitalist experience highly preferred
- Rural health experience highly preferred
- Clean malpractice history
